How durable and replaceable are the solar panels on the Aptera?
Aptera’s solar panels are made from robust monocrystalline cells embedded in durable chemically strengthened glass. The cells have a copper back sheet, which ensures that if one cell is damaged, the system can still generate power. Our solar has been tested for residential and automotive standards, protecting against hail impacts and rock chips. Additionally, the solar panels are designed for easy replacement and upgrades as technology evolves, ensuring long-lasting performance.
